Dr. Victor B. Borden
Dr. Victor B. Borden became the Senior Pastor of Red Bridge Baptist Church [RBBC] in 1993. Prior to serving as Senior Pastor, he was RBBC's Associate Pastor from 1986 to 1993. His pastoral ministry began at Bethany Baptist Church in Sedalia, Missouri in 1985.
Dr. Borden has an Associate of Science Degree in Biology from Longview Community College in Lee's Summit, MO, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry from Avila University in Kansas City, MO, and Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry Degrees from Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, GA. He serves on the Board of Trustees of Calvary University. Dr. Borden is the President of the Luther Rice Seminary Alumni Association for Missouri, and in the past he served for six years as a member of the Executive Board of the Missouri Baptist Convention. He is currently the President of the Board of Directors of Haiti Home of Hope, Inc.
Vic Borden was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He enlisted on active duty in the U.S. Navy following high school, just as the Vietnam War was ending. As a teenager and young adult, Vic Borden lived a self-indulgent lifestyle. He first heard and listened to the saving message of Christ at the age of 20. It was in a U.S. Navy barracks, just outside of Washington, D.C., on May 25, 1977, that he turned from his sinful rebellion, and by faith, received Jesus Christ to be his personal Lord and Savior.
Shortly after coming to know Christ, Vic met Pam Holter (as she was also on active duty in the U.S. Navy). They were married on April 15, 1978. God blessed them with four children: Adam (wife Rachel); Suzy (husband Wes Hurless); Betsy (husband Chris Brennan, and sons Beau and Caleb); and Priscilla.
On October 25, 2015, Pam Borden went home to be with the Lord at the age of 59. Pam, a wonderful servant of God, had been afflicted the previous four years with frontotemporal dementia, a debilitating disease which typically strikes a person in the mid-50's and takes the life in three-five years.
In the providence of God, Pastor Borden met Cathie Gorzalski, a godly woman from Philadelphia. They were married on June 18, 2017, and currently reside in Lee's Summit, MO.
